A new record for WIB for the ‘biggest face’ at 34cm! 🌻

The tallest sunflower was 3.03M this year (record stands at 3.54M)

Our popular sunflower competition is back and judging will take place on 31st August.

The Front Garden Competition will return in 2026!

What a day for our Village, with what appeared to be well over a thousand people enjoying themselves, starting with the parade, the stalls, the food, fun fair, music, kids zone and all the events in the Arena!

Our float was combined with ‘WoodchurchYard Together’, Woodchurch Cottage Flowers & Woodchurch Market Garden – several of us spent 2 days building it which was great fun – our theme being ‘Dig for Woodchurch’

We were delighted how it all came together thanks to the many helpers.

Icing on the cake was when we won overall best mobile float!

Huge well done to all the organisers & volunteers – roll on 2026!

Thank you to so many of you who have added your wonderful poppy crafts, our Village tribute looks truly special.

We hope you may have had the chance to see the tribute in situ or via photos.

We will be removing the tribute off the Green on 25th June. We will keep the crafts unless anyone would like to reclaim their own?

‘WoodchurchYard Together’ is putting together a bid for Lottery funding towards a secure lock up and a log cabin style shed for community use, which would include ‘Woodchurch in Bloom’ activities.

To help our bid, we need to understand the level of support for what we do as volunteers in keeping our Churchyard tidy, as well as activities organised by ‘Woodchurch in Bloom’.

Our beautiful Churchyard is maintained solely by volunteers and we rely completely on donations for money towards fuel and tool purchase and maintenance.
