Forest Garden Tour of a small holding in Woodchurch

‘Walk and Talk’ – 26.9.21

Following on from the Bumblebee Garden Party, jointly hosted with The Bumblebee Conservation Trust on Saturday 26th June 2021, Nigel Jennings the owner of the Forest Garden kindly agreed to give a more detailed ‘Walk and Talk’ round his Small Holding later in the year.

A group of 15 met up in the Car Park at 2pm before walking round to meet Nigel at the entrance to his Garden. We were truly enlightened on the many different plantings Nigel has been cultivating over a 20 year period. Everything in Nigel’s Small Holding has a purpose – either as pollinators, produce which he will eventually eat or essentially the wood from the trees for firewood etc. Everyone was amazed to find this hidden treasure, right in the heart of Woodchurch. It was a very informative couple of hours and was thoroughly enjoyed by all those who attended.

We are pleased to announce that together with the Bumblebee Conservation Trust we will be hosting another Bumblebee Garden Party in the Summer of 2022 and Nigel has kindly agreed to give another Walk and Talk in the Autumn.
