Challenge for 2022
Woodchurch in Bloom enjoyed a super sunflower 
judging day today – and our super special judges included Amber (Dean & Rachel’s daughter from Pinecove Nursery) who grew sunflowers earlier this year to raise money for Ukraine, plus a Ukrainian family living in the Village – all the measurements are now in and the winners will be announced very soon….

Taking the lead from Woodchurch Surgery Sunflower competition, Woodchurch in Bloom invited villagers to fill the village with sunshine and grow as many sunflowers as possible!
On August Bank Holiday Monday, Linda, Liz, Leon and Philippa had a very enjoyable & fun time visiting the 
sunflower competition entries for the judging!
Thank you to everyone who took part – all winners for the bees, birds and creating smiles to so many!
The overall winners were as follows:
Funniest face = brilliant Santa & reindeer!
Biggest face = sunflower measuring a huge 42cm across its face!
Tallest = sunflower measuring an incredible 343cm
On Saturday 2nd October Woodchurch in Bloom had a very enjoyable morning presenting our certificates, creating bird feeders and enjoying teas & cakes!
Thank you to Rev’d Sue for allowing us to use the Church for some much needed shelter. A wonderful morning all round 
We have already been asked if we will be running the competition again next year and the answer is…… yes!
